CONSULTATIONS
Your first skin consultation: what to ask
Make your first conversation useful, without feeling you need to choose a treatment in advance.
Start with the question, not the treatment
It is easy to arrive at a treatment menu with a product name already in mind. A more useful starting point is what you would like to discuss, what you have noticed and what you want to understand. You can ask about a consultation without committing to a particular procedure. Write down your priorities so the conversation can focus on what matters to you.
Know who will treat you
Ask who carries out the proposed treatment, what relevant training they have and who you can contact afterwards. A treatment name or attractive price does not answer these questions. You should be able to understand the person, product and process involved before deciding whether to continue.
Ask what the appointment includes
Check the exact treatment, products, areas and quantities in the quote. If you are considering a package, clarify the number of appointments, how they are arranged and whether reviews are included. Ask whether there may be further costs, and request a clear explanation of any starting price.
Discuss preparation and aftercare
Use the consultation to ask about potential risks, recovery, alternatives and the instructions you will need before and after the appointment. Explain any upcoming events or travel so you can discuss timing. Keep health history for the private consultation rather than placing it in a general website message.
Give yourself room to decide
You can take time to consider the information you receive. Ask for anything you do not understand to be explained. A useful consultation leaves you knowing what is proposed, what remains uncertain and what the next step would be. Browse the treatment pages or send an enquiry when you are ready.
